Points – How it works
Posted in Points - How it works on 24. Feb, 2010
Boating
- Points will be awarded in order of final position for each qualifying round attended.
- The highest placed 50 teams after all the qualifying rounds have been completed will go through to the Grand Final.
- In the result of a tie for 50th we will accept all same scoring 50th place getter’s
- Points are awarded to the team as some people choose to fish in different teams throughout the year
- If you are disqualified you will not be awarded any points.
Points example:
- 1st 100 Points
- 2nd 99 Points
- 3rd 98 Points
- 4th 97 Points
- 5th 96 Points and so on
- 10 points to anglers for a no fish finish.
Substitutions
- Each team must have ONE constant angler within the team throughout (This is normally the boat owner or skipper)
- Two substitutes are allowed throughout the year but the points will still go to the team they fish under not the individual.
- If the team qualifies for the Grand Final the skipper must choose one angler only to accompany them to the Grand Final.
- Therefore substitute anglers are not guaranteed a spot in the Grand Final if the Team Qualifies for the Grand Final.
- Team Points can not be split or divided between anglers.
- Teams may change their name but only if the committee agrees to such a change. ie change of sponsor or addition of a sponsor.

- 1st 50 Points
- 2nd 49 Points
- 3rd 48 Points
- 4th 47 Points
- 5th 46 Points and so on
- 10 points to anglers for a no fish finish.
