Squidgie Southern Bream Series

Squidgie Southern Bream Series

In 2010 the addition of Shimano to the existing Southern Bream Series has increased th profile of the South coast Bream fishing scene.

Points will be awarded for a win and the top anglers will go through to the Grand Final in October. Qualifying format will be highest point scoring teams.

The points will run the same as the previous years SBS  system. Anglers will be given automatic qualification if you win a event. Points are awarded to individuals as some people choose to fish with different partners.

If you are disqualified you will not be awarded any points.

In each of the Qualifying rounds we will be paying cash prizes down to 5th place. The amount paid for places will vary depending on entries received for each event. There will also be a prize for Biggest Bream at each event and also lucky draw prizes.

To be eligible for this prize you must be a financial BLF member for the whole of the season. That means you must have paid your membership for July 2009- June 2010 before 31st January 2010 and rejoin in July 2010. Please note if you join this year your membership will be valid until July 2010 as BLF membership runs per financial year.

Please note for 2010 it will be the top two individual BLF members based on your accumulated points from SSBS rounds throughout the year. This means that you may qualify for the Australian Open with any other BLF member depending on points and membership. In the event of a tie on points for entry a shoot out will occur with all the tieing people. The first of those people to return with a legal bream will take their place on the BLF Australian open team.
